This policy explains how we handle the personal data you share with us. It is written to follow Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of personal data and, for clients in the European Union, the GDPR.
Who we are
KECHART Production ("we", "us") is a photography and video production studio based in Marrakech, Morocco, operated by [Legal company name], registered under RC [number], ICE [number], with its address at Rue Kbour Chou, Centre de Formation et de Qualification aux Métiers de l'Artisanat, Marrakech 40000, Morocco. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
Data we collect
- When you request a quote or contact us: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address and the details of your project.
- When you book a shoot: billing details, dates, locations and any information needed to plan the production.
- During a shoot: photos and video recordings of the people, places and products we film.
- When you browse the website: basic technical data such as your browser type and pages visited, through the services described under “Cookies”.
How we use your data
- To answer your request and send you a quote.
- To plan, carry out and deliver your project, and to invoice it.
- To contact you on WhatsApp, by phone or by email about your project, as you agreed when sending the form.
- To improve our website and services.
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising without your consent.
Legal basis
We process your data because you asked us to (pre-contractual steps and the contract itself), because you gave your consent (for example by ticking the box on our quote form), because the law requires it (accounting), or for our legitimate interest in running and improving the studio.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with the service providers we need to run the studio, for example:
- messaging and email providers (such as WhatsApp / Meta and our email host);
- website hosting (Cloudflare) and storage for delivering your files;
- our accountant and, where needed, public authorities when the law requires it;
- freelance crew members working on your project, bound by confidentiality.
Some of these providers may store data outside Morocco; in that case we rely on appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not lead to a project are deleted after [12] months. Client and invoicing data is kept for the period required by Moroccan accounting law. Project files are archived for [X] months after delivery so we can provide copies on request, then deleted.
Photos & films of people
We only publish photos or films in which people can be recognised — for example in our portfolio or on social media — with the agreement of the client and, where needed, of the people shown. You can ask us at any time to remove an image of you from our website or channels.
Cookies & third-party content
Our website does not use advertising cookies. Some pages include content from third parties, such as Google Maps and Google Fonts, which may collect technical data according to their own privacy policies. Clicking the WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, where Meta’s privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, or object to its use;
- withdraw your consent to be contacted;
- receive a copy of your data (for clients covered by the GDPR).
